Millwall signs pro contract
#1
While the World Simulation Football Classic is still well underway as the teams are fighting in the early knockout stage, rookie Cameron Millwall has now officially signed his first professional contract.

"I'm just ready to get going at last," the German said in the official availability upon signing the contract. "It's been an incredible time in Stockholm, and now I'm ready to move on to the next adventure." He said that this contract is the fulfillment of a life-long dream.

The first round pick has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the SSL's Schwarzwälder FV organization that will earn him a base salary of 3 million Euros annually. Millwall is expected to spend a lot of game time in the minor league at first, with Schwarzwälder's affiliate club Montreal United.

"Wherever they want me to play, I will play. That will never be an issue for me," Millwall stated. "I did talk to management just recently and they've laid out the road map for my long-term development. It gives me confidence to have ended up in the right place at the right time."

There's still a long way to go for the young German but it does appear that he has made it successfully out of the Academy.
