New role for Seoul and Benelux advances.
#1
After the West Africa game Carolien had a long conversation with her manager she'll have at Seoul about her new role in the up coming season. Despite being a right midfielder by trait Seoul will be using her as either an attacking midfielder or striking after reviewing footage of her games in the academy with Stockholm. Along with the change in position the coaches want her mentality to change from a pass first person to being more aggressive and selfish with her chances on goal, wanting to turn her into a speedy goal scoring threat from the midfield mainly from midfield. Meanwhile with the WSFC Carolien has become a bit stagnate in her performances against West Africa and more recent Alpine Federation. The West Africa game for Benelux was more about pride as they already advanced out of their group prior to the game, and the result was not what the team wanted losing 4-3 the final goal being scored 3 minutes into added time at the end of the game. The own goal from Hefeweizen certainly didn't help the game but there is no going back and changing the results. The next game against the Alps team was much different as Benelux came out on top 5-2 but once again another lackluster from Miedema unlike fellow rookie Mulder that won PotM with 2 goals. Next up for Benelux was Pyrenees Union and one must wonder is this the end of Benelux's dominance or will they advance to the finals.
