Millwall thrown out of Montréal's starting XI
#1
By the looks of it, the SSL minor league title is no longer Kaapstad's to win - but rather Montréal's to lose. The United are still sitting comfortably in first place, holding a five point lead over the South African team with just two more regular season games left to play. Barring any unforeseen meltdown, the Canadian side should be able to bring the title home to their city. They have been on top of the standings for a long time now.
Rookie midfielder Cameron Millwall himself has hit the infamous rookie wall in the mean time. After a solid start into his first professional season, he has kind of fell off the earth and even was thrown out of the starting eleven by the coaching staff. The defensive midfielder understands that the management ultimately does what's best for the team, even though sources close to his camp confirm that he is indeed unhappy with the way this has played out. Millwall has a solid track record so far, missing no training sessions or extracurricular team activities. He's monitoring the situation, hoping that this situation is not meant to be a permanent one. For a young talent like him, playing time is extremely important in order to develop and progress as a player.
