In season 18 Victoria Falls ended the Academy last with 14 points after 15 matches; with the experience of the past season the expectations for season 19 weren’t the highest among the fans.
In season 19 there were changes to the Academy league sistem as it was expanded from 4 to 8 teams which would battle for the title in a total of 14 matchdays.
The new player for the Victoria Falls season 19 may have played at the best of their abilities but at the end they managed to only gain 9 points in 14 matches.
Victoria Falls have estabilished some negative record this season which are:
1.) With only 18 goals Victoria Falls have proved to be worst attack of the Academy, scoring just one more than the 17 of the season prior.
2.)Defensively they suffered 33 goals, 8 goals less than the 41 of the season prior.
3.)Despite suffering less goals than the season prior Victoria Falls managed to concede a goal in every single game this season, it didn't happen in the season prior.
The reasons for this bad result are here listed:
1.)The lack of a full team and a portion of the assigned players ending up being inactive:
of course a team that relies on the ai and on inactive players is at a disadvantage, especially on a league in which everyone starts at the same level.
2.)Players playing on secondary positions.
3.)The lack of player on certain roles such as central defenders and goalkeepers.
The best victory for Victoria Falls was the 2-1 victory in the african derby against Accra of matchday 3 in which Victoria Falls managed to reverse the 0-1 scored by Gibrahimovic thanks to a penalty scored by Jay-Jay Okocha jr and a goal by Bartholomew-James Junior-Junior.
While their worst defeat was a 4-0 defeat against Istanbul in matchday 9 with goals by: Marean Dohbra with a brace, Predag Dobric and by Thomas Jimotheus.
Another defeat despite less heavy but more painful in terms of the final table was in the last matchday against Jakarta 7th in the league, a match that was dubbed “El Trashico” where despite an absolute domination by Victoria Falls it ended 0-1 thanks to a goal by Barker Dez for the away team sealing the last place for Victoria Falls who could have ended 7th in case of a win.
With a total goal contribution of 9 (3 goals plus 6 assist) the RM from Lithuania Juozas Kupinas proved to be the best player of the team this season having played all of the 14 matches ending with a average rating of 6,92.
The Victoria Falls team of the season 19 just like the one of the season 18 failed to bring glory to the Victoria Falls team, it is up to the season 20 team to try to win the Academy league, or at least to end the bad spell and to not end last fo
r the third season in a row.
