Another Adjustment and Addition to Rulebook Active Games Played Requirement
#1
Background
The need arose for clarity around minimum game requirements for Active Status Contracts, and the need for Players who were dropped from their Rookie Contracts to have an additional way to be signed by another team. The following rule adjustements were initiated by the Board and agreed upon by both the Board and Managers

Decision
The following adjustements and additions to the rulebook as follows

CODE

Section 4 Subsection 2 Rule 2.a (rewording)
Any outfield player signed to an Active Status Contract (section reference) must have appeared in at least 1/3, rounded down, of the team's played games when the player is under contract.

Rule 2.b (addition)
Any goalkeeper signed to an Active Status Contract (section reference) must have appeared in at least 1/4, rounded down, of the team's played games when the player is under contract.

Rule 2.c (addition)
Failure to meet the activity requirement will incur a cap penalty for the following season of 50% of the salary for the specific player(s).

Rule 2.a.i and 2.a.ii are removed

Section 6 Subsection 3 Rule 2.c (addition)
A player can only be released from a team if they fulfill the activity requirement specified in Section 4 Subsection 2.

Section 6 Subsection 2 Rule 1.a.i (addition)
A player that is released from their Rookie Contract can join any team, except the one releasing them, through the Waiver Wire for one season after their release. Adding this player through the Waiver Wire will not reduce the team's Transfer Budget.

Rule 1.a.i.1
This player must be signed to a non-Rookie contract.

Rule 1.a.ii
If a released Rookie is claimed through through the waiver wire, but signs with a team through Free Agency before the waiver process has concluded, the waiver claim is nullified.
