MD Interview Kovács
#1
After a disconcerting 5-0 defeat against Victoria Falls Eagles we speak with Ozzy Trent Kovács. Visibly upset about the teams performance he reluctantly agreed to do an interview.

The match started well for Stockholm, they produced a couple of good chances early on, though the Victoria Falls goalie Barflett proved to be an impenetrable wall making some incredible saves. In the 20th minute Jerry however opened the score for Victoria Falls, Stockholms defence got caught sleeping and a sleek through ball from Heather Bull found Jerry who skillfully finished their first shot on target. VFE doubled their advantage in the 29th minute after a shot from 20 meters, goalkeeper Slothlenburg looked unlucky in his attempt to save the shot. In minute 39 the Eagles were succesful again. A good cross from Aubochon-Touchette found the head of Tata Youre who skillfully lobbed the ball over Slothlenburg.

Throughout the rest of the first half, Stockholm created a couple chances but mostly struggled to complete passes.

1 minute into the second half Aubochon-Touchette fired a rocket towards the top corner from 30 meters out, via the crossbar the ball went into the goal, magnifiscent shot. Throughout the second half Stockholm kept creating chances opon chances, but not a single one went in. In extra time Victoria Falls Eagles made the night even worse for everyone who endears Stockholm IK. Tata Youre scores his second header of the match to make it 5-0.

- Ozzy, throughout the season Stockholm's offence seemed unstoppable, what went wrong this game? "I honestly can't tell you. I feel we created plenty of chances, I think about 10 more than Victoria but we just weren't on top of it in front of the goal. Didn't help Barflett had the game of his life."

- That's where I wanted to go next, Stockholm fired 22 shots, 8 on target against Victoria's 12 with 6 on target. Slothlenburg didn't look good on a few of those goals, do you think conceding those goals had an effect on the teams morale? "I don't think it's fair to put the blame on Maarten, we enter the field as a team so no one person is to blame for this result. We all failed to perform our defensive duties."

- Don't you think Maarten could've stopped a coup... "I'm going to interrupt you here, I'm not going to put the blame on one player."

- Fair enough, let's talk about your chances. You were the most offensive threat this game, tell me about them. "I've had some good chances, but Borey (Barflett, red) was on top of his game today, it's no wonder he had the second highest rating today. He played wonderfully, unfortunately for us."

- Alright, that's it for me. You have any last words? "We're going back to the drawing board and hopefully come back stronger next match"

- Thank you "No problem"

Next time we'll go in depth in Stockholms Academy season so far, in our continued coverage of local Ozzy Trent Kovács

A rough loss, but don't drop your head, trust the process and go again. Big teams are watching.

A great article, you've certainly displayed a lot of detail and done your research and the story is an interesting read.
