The Life of a Showperson
#1
So apparently I forgot that the new Taylor Swift album came out today, and so we must take a moment to ask, how would one describe The Life of a Showperson in the SSL?

Well, every few days, we travel across the world somewhere to perform in front of tens of thousands of digital fans, and presumably at least a couple dozen real fans. It can be exhausting keeping up with that kind of travel schedule, but most of the teams have their own jumbo jets, so we can be just about anywhere in a few hours. A lot of our partners are also professional athletes, as they tend to be the only ones who get how our lifestyle works. Kaspars Kalinins however, his partner is a musician, who also gets the whole crazy travel thing, and has her own performances to handle.

Every so often, particularly in his offseason, they get to spend some time together, hopping around the world for one or the other’s performances. It’s great to share in those special moments together when you can, but it doesn’t leave a lot of time for relaxation and enjoying of one’s sole company.

The life of an SSL player can be hard, and well, they don’t tend to make it any easier with their extracurriculars. But that’s The Life, as they say, and we wouldn’t ask for anything else.

An SSL player would probably be very busy with all the flying between places during the season.
