Never In Question
#1
The Draft is around the corner’s corner, and Kaspars Kalinins is really coming into his own for the teams to see. There is no question as to the time and the effort that he has been willing to put into his training so far, to overcome his little known status, and his on-field disappointments.

It can be slow, and it can be painful to grow as a young player, working their way through the Academy system, but there is more to be learned about a player’s future off the pitch than on. Teams want someone who is dedicated to their craft, who is willing to put in the time to train, and to grow with the team. Teams want someone who is deliberate and precise with their development, willing to commit to a vision, and a system that one day forms a team identity. But most of all, teams want a player who is in it for the long haul, who doesn’t shy away from adversity, and who can show up, day after day, week after week, and work.

There will be teams that pass over Kalinins based on his position on the field, and that’s understandable. But my hope is that nobody passes over Kalinins while questioning his commitment, and his dedication.

Enjoyable article, even if the subject matter was a bit repetitive from previous articles. I think if you "built" on the narrative rather than repeat it, then this would've been a very high score. Nevertheless, always enjoy your media pieces
