Peach Toadstool smiles and waves to the crowd, flashing two peace signs as she celebrated her first goal in the Academy league. She was actually expecting her first goal to come much later, and would have been happy with just getting a few assists and maybe one goal later during the season, but there is no way in Bowser's Castle (also knows as hell) that she was going to say no to getting this one. She blew a kiss to the to crowd before heading back to the team to continue the game. When the game was over, which was a victory for Victoria Falls, she grabbed a bag of cookies she had in her locker and begins to eat them.
"Why do you have a box of cookies just randomly in your locker?" Her coach asks as she munches "I thought your whole thing was keeping to a pretty strict diet"
"Well it's a little reward to myself" Peach says in between bites before swallowing and continuing "Everytime I do something such as getting a goal, I will allow myself to cheat on my diet just a bit. It's a way to keep me going, and these cookies taste amazing"
"Well I hope that you will be able to enjoy a lot more cookies during the season then" coach says before going to start the end of game speech. It turns out that she would be able to enjoy at least one more bag of cookies, as during a game against Atlético that she managed to get the ball into the goal off a small pass from her teammate Tyson lead her to have a good chance to the goal around the 9 minute mark. As she was posing to the crowd after the goal, she pointed towards the camera and said:
"You see that? Remember that the draft is happening! Remember that SSL!"
"Was that really necessary, your highness?" Spore asks Peach as they are rewatching the game.
"Oh do relax, I was just caught up in the moment and just had to let out a quote for the sporting news to remember." Peach says as she waves a hand in a dismissive way. "If they have a problem with it, they'll forget about in a week or two once another story happens that they can milk"
"But it sounded a bit... egotistical. Are you certain that the teams that are aiming to draft you won't take that quote as an indication of you having an attitude problem?"
"Well once they get to knowe, they'll realize that I can be kind too." Peach giggles before taking a sip of tea "now, I need to go do some jogging"
