Hi everyone,

We’ve got some exciting news to share! We’re introducing a few major updates to the Bounty system that are all about maximizing your earning and giving you more creative ways to leave your mark on the league

Media Grading Scale Updates:
We are transitioning the written media grading scale to a per-word model to incentivize those longer, more detailed articles.

New Rate: Media will now be graded at a flat rate of $1,250 per word.

Grading Bonuses: Graders now have the discretion to award up to an additional $500,000 in bonuses for media that goes above and beyond in terms of quality, creativity, or insight.

Minimum Length: To ensure submissions provide meaningful content, all media must have a minimum length of 200 words to be eligible for payment.

Forum Banner Competition
We are excited to launch a new graphics competition specifically for our forum banners.

How it works:

Submission: Members can submit custom-designed forum banners (dimensions and requirements can be found in the competition thread).

Community Voting: After the submission period, all banners will be put to a community-wide vote.

The Rewards: The top 3 designs, as determined by user votes, will each receive a $500,000 payout and will be featured in the official forum banner rotation.

Me using my writing ability to get 3 seasons worth of training in one media:

so every non-extraordinary 200 word article is now a 1/5? a 3/5 now takes 3.2x the amount of words? 5/5 is 6x more words?

I appreciate that there is actually a genuine incentive to make longer Media, something that was sorely lacking, but at the same time you've essentially tripled the amount of words that "max earning" takes now, assuming you aren't doing league jobs. To write enough Media to earn your 7.65M per 10 week season, you'd have to write 600 words per week. Sure, that's about lined up with most other leagues, so I see the logic there, but I wouldn't exactly say this is "all about maximizing your earning". I imagine the (up to) 500k bonus is coming into play in the same situations that someone would hand out a 5/5 currently, so I don't really count that as a separate incentive. If we were talking like 250k PLUS 1250 per word, I'd say fair enough, that makes your bog standard 200 word article a 2/5, not a 1/5, while incentivizing longer content.
