Curtis Yeager joins the league
#1
Recent reports of an American player named Curtis Yeager joining the league have several scouts scratching their head. Hailing from central Maine in the tiny town of Masardis, many scouts are wondering how exactly one can consistently play soccer so far north. But Yeager has represented himself as a pass-first midfielder who likes to control the tempo of games and allow his strikers to make big plays with the passes that he gives them. When asked for comment from other media sources, Yeager had this to say about himself.

"I know it seems kinda strange, right? I should be playing hockey or something like basketball, not soccer. Especially somewhere so cold. But honestly, I love the game. I can't see myself doing anything else and now that I actually got the invitation to the Port Royal academy team, I know it was all worth it."

In a league defined by lots of aggressive scoring midfields, some pundits have said that Yeager's approach to the game will not work long term. But there are others who have been saying that players such as Yeager, these sorts of true support midfielders that distribute the ball to others around the field is exactly the kind of new thinking that the game needs to evolve. Either way, he is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on.
