Adowa Accra Academy Applicants

Today we assess the academy players looking to prove themselves in the upcoming season, focussing on Adowa Accra, from the capital of Ghana. This team has great history in the SSL and is now a proud academy side, bringing players up to the level required for their rookie season.

Starting at the back we've got Scotland's Albert Flowers as one of the standout Goalkeeper prospects in the class of Season 26. With 3 other GK's in this year's draft class, he is one to watch for the future.

In defence, the full backs of Roberto Chavez on the left and Ewan Purves on the right, of Mexico and Scotland respectively, but no Centre Backs of note are on the books here.

Che Youz is an exciting Central Midfielder, but the Nigerian will be flanked by Englishman Nick Kasak on the left wing and Emmanuel Ofusu on the right. Ghanaian Ofusu is a big coup for the fans having a home player in the ranks once more.

Up top is Dutch prospect Blaise N'Kufo, one of two Dutch strikers in this year's intake.

Time will tell how well these players will adapt to their season in the Ghanaian Capital. With temperatures mostly in the high 20s (Centigrade) at this time of year, pasty Englishman Kasak was already seen sweating in the heat. They won't have long to adapt though, with the first match in just a couple of days.

Season 26's academy may well prove to be on the best crop of players to enter the league, with all eyes looking to the Draft day in June, to see where this group of players will graduate.
