Winning Streak in London
#1
London, England

We have now reached the halfway point of this minor season, and the incredible run Inter London are on continues. They made swift work of their two opponents this week, beating Seoul MFC and Montreal United.  They are currently sitting in first place in the division two standings, two points ahead of Cairo City for automatic promotion into the first division. In their seven games, they have six wins and one loss, with 14 goals scored and only 3 goals conceded.

Inter London started their week with a 3-0 victory against Seoul MFC, with all three goals coming from their talisman Miester Blobbé. The assists were spread out between Chris McZehrl, Angry Lizard, and Ryan O'Neill. A rather even game when looking at the advanced statistics, with the shots being 17-13. However, the bend but don't break mentality that has done Inter London so well defensively keeps working. The second game of the week was a different story with the same result. Inter London defeated Montreal United 3-0, but in a more dominant fashion, with the shots being 22-8. Miester Blobbé added to their goal tally, but it was Arthur Cain with the brace in this one. Pope Francis had one assist, and Chris McZehrl had two assists.

João Mendes continues to have a phenomenal season in his rookie year. He is amongst the top 10 players in distance run, as he continues to be an engine in the Inter London midfield. Although his statistics don't jump off the page, he does all the little things well. Inter London will try to continue their winning streak as they play Athênai F.C. and CS Rova Mpanjaka this week.
