I just finished my last academy game for Sydney FC and said my farewells to all my teammates and managers the week before the SSL S26 Prospect Draft. The first two rounds had gone by, and I hadn’t gotten a call from any teams yet. Although I was a bit sad about not getting picked higher, I figured I’d be picked around the third round since I joined so late in the season. Then, at the 29th pick of the draft in the third round, I got a call from the manager down at Shanghai Dragons FC. They told me that they were looking forward to working with me, and that’s when I knew my moment was coming. It was the very first day when I got into the locker room, and what do you know, they drafted 2 of my teammates from Sydney FC. The first teammate I knew of was Quackereedoo, as I joined in the stream late into the 2nd round. He was drafted just 4 picks before me, so I saw it pretty early on, then I got into the locker room, and I saw my other teammate from Sydney, Sei. It was exciting getting to join back up with my previous teammates, and it’s also been fun getting to know my new ones as well.
