Hey!
Pau here with my co-gm @Aneeqs just wanting to let you guys know that we have finally sorted out our branding for our Sydney City. Obviously we are super excited to be able to share this with everyone and we want to thank @Thunder39 and @RashfordU, we are so happy with the outcome and we’re looking forward to seeing it on the pitch soon!
The Logos
So when we were talking about our logo we really wanted to capture the essence of Sydney and Australia. So we thought that we would include the Kangaroo as part of the logo. It is synonymous with Australia. Our favourite bit is the addition of the sydney opera house silhouette at the top of the logo. We think it is an awesome touch and more specifically relates to Sydney. We went in already thinking that we should have the famous yellow/gold that is seen with most Australian national sports teams and we thought that the dark purple just fits so nicely with the rest of the league. It’s a unique colour scheme and we really wanted to be able to stand out from the rest of the league! We figured that since we’re on a new continent, might as well bring some new style to the league. So this logo will be present on the Home and Away kits.
This is our alternative/Cup logo. Aneeq and I thought that it would be cool to just be completely different and fun! We wanted a sort of miami vice beach aesthetic and Thunder was able to capture it perfectly! We love the colour scheme for this and yeah it’s just a super cool idea. We really wanted to have pink represented in some way and Thunder did an amazing job.
The Kit

Alternative
Aneeq and I looked at some former Nike kits and thought that we could come up with some very clean. The home kit features the lovely purple colour with a very simplistic outline of the yellow on the sleeves and collar. We got the Sydney Opera House on the shorts as well. So it’s sort of combining our vision in terms of the colour scheme and adding the Sydney/Australian touch.
The away kit features the lovely yellow for Australia and a dotted purple sleeves/shoulders. We thought it was a lot nicer to use instead of the plain yellow and just sort of reinforces our colour scheme.
The alternative kit is just a fun kit that all three of us were able to come up with. The Neon colours make the kit stand out and offers you that sort of energetic feel to it.
The Stadium Name
The KangaHugh Jackman Gardens.
Kangaroo Jack was a monumentally important cultural film that united the American and Australian communities. It is widely regarded as the greatest film in cinematic history, and to this day it can be found on most television sets inside both American and Australian households. Its influence spans the globe and has been named as the inspiration for many of the great films in history.
Oh and Hugh Jackman’s a lovely dude
So yeah, this is Sydney City
