They’ve been working on a construction project in Liffeyside the entire season now, and it’s some rail system that runs through town, like a streetcar or a light rail or something. It’s supposed to be done next year, but they put on like half of the rails backwards or inside out or something and they’ve had to essentially start from scratch. At the same time they re-did like a whole 3 block radius around the stadium, adding all these bus lanes, bike lanes, street marking, some like wobbly bits to slow traffic down around pedestrian areas, and re-installed all of the lights. All great things don’t get me wrong, but the project keeps growing and growing and it makes it really hard to go anywhere, get anything done, and it’s really eating into our practice time, and even our pre-game rituals. And now, they’ve said the project is going to last another 3 years or something, and it’s 3x over budget, they’re raising taxes, and like half of the small businesses that rely on our team’s toursist traffic have gone under, since nobody dares to make the trek. It’s been a really tough year for all Liffeyside residents, and it seems like there’s a lot left to get worse, before it even starts to get better.
