Tyson Blaze has the ability to jinx your team and not be mock drafted
#1
After the end of the Academy season, Tyson had a surprising amount of money made for someone who sat on the sidelines handing out water bottles to players. It made him wonder why more people and Pokemon aren't taking advantage of this job when it's so easy and basically anyone can do it. But hey, it benefits him so he's not going to question it too much. Anyway, with that money he decided he'd treat himself and leave his trainer behind so he could go and witness the Cup Championship in person. The game of course ended up being between São Paulo and Shanghai, in which Tyson would find himself rooting for Shanghai because of their cool dragon logo and feeling represented as a fellow fire breather. Plus, they also had a Pokemon playing for them! It was awesome, it felt like he had someone he could follow in the footsteps of. That said, normally this would be no problem just cheering for a random team, people cheer for teams all the time! However, Tyson may be cursed. Multiple times when he was rooting for his teammates in Adowa Accra he would immediately jinx the entire team by saying something should or shouldn't happen, and then the exact opposite would occur. The most famous jinxing being in the final game of the season against Port Royal when Tyson said "5-0 for sure! We ain't allowing no goals today, unless we make them!". This was immediately followed by a goal by Port Royal. And then another, and another, and oh look the score ended up being 0-4!

Getting back to the Cup Championship, Tyson was rooting pretty heavily for Shanghai and was SUPER confident that this was their year. So of course, what was delivered to Shangai for being such a cool team was an 0-3 loss. Some fans had turned hostile against Tyson midway through the game after realizing he was the "jinx guy" and begun to pelt him with popcorn and various other foods. By end of game he was running out of that stadium as fast as he could, horrified for what he had apparently done. A few days later he'd get a call from the Manager of Shangai themself and, to put it bluntly, if Tyson was wearing pants, they'd have surely been scared off. But despite expecting the raging fire of a thousand dragons, he was actually met with a ton of kindness! Turns out they loved seeing him there and cheering for the team, which led to a really nice discussion. Now, it could all be a facade to lure Tyson into a safe sense of security before they crush him like a bug, but hey, for now it stands as one of the greatest scouting talks he's ever had! Even if he doesn't end up playing for them one day, it's a team he'll never lose respect for. And hopefully they do eventually with the Cup Championship with all the hard work they continue to put into it!

Now, after all this jinxing business, it's now the offseason. Tyson has been trying hard to continue to learn the game and study, and thankfully a lot of his scouting conversations have provided a ton of great insight for what to focus on and what he can probably expect for his future. It's a little intimidating thinking about his first bit of action coming in a pro league though, especially with some teams even saying he could be a day 1 starter on their Majors team, which if that happened he might be too scared to even show up for work that day! But this is all to say the scouting talks have been highly favorable. Hooooowever, what hasn't been very favorable is the mock drafts for Tyson. I mean getting drafted in the second round is probably still a high achievement, but so far not a single mock has him going in the first round, which is SUPER...Not surprising actually! Tyson has still yet to make his debut as a player, why in the heck would any club draft him in the first round without knowing how he can actually do when playing? In fact, if he did go in the first round, he'd be concerned about what the organization is thinking! He'd have to assume his trainer was making bribes or something, because he needs a LOT of development still. Hell, even 2nd round is pushing it for a player of his caliber, you know? But it does feel good knowing that perhaps he can be a diamond in the rough for a team. Ultimately though, it does present a lot of questions about where Tyson may ultimately land, because at the moment, there's just no clear answer! Which of course makes it super exciting, but also weird since usually there's a "tell" for what to expect, but there's nothing here so far. Whatever ends up happening though, Tyson's future team will be getting a dedicated one for sure!
