Dear Mr Kasak,

We hope this letter finds you well.

We’re delighted to let you know that you’ve made the team of the season for the Season 26 SSL Minor League Division One in Central Midfield thanks to your very strong performances on the pitch for F.C. Kaapstad.

A small plaque will be made available to you to display at your discretion and will follow later.

The awards committee felt that your overall contributions for the team in both attack and defence warranted you making the team of the season, which is no small achievement given it was your rookie season as well.

While your goal and assists were not at the same heights as some others, it was in areas such as key passes, chances created, distance covered, interceptions and clearances. This demonstrated how the team relied on you to be the engine for both driving the play forwards and protecting the backline.

The role of central midfield in SSL is one that doesn’t always have the glitz and the glamour, but plenty of great midfielders have plied their trade before you and we’re always pleased to recognise talent and skill in an upcoming player such as yourself, who surely can only improve on such a good start.

We look forward to seeing you continue to work hard and continue to achieve. We are excited to assess your upcoming season and a steady improvement as you gain even more experience at this level.

This achievement, however minor, should act as further incentive to do great things, rather than an opportunity to ease off the pedal. Your coaching team, complete with water buckets and whistles, had an award winning season, so you find yourself in the best hands possible.
