Observations / Conclusions:
Goalkeepers have remained consistent going from 3 in S27 down to 2 in S28.  This is somewhat expected but with the recent expansion teams goalies may start to become a even more important with only a limited amount expected in some draft seasons.

Defenders were a big part of the S27 top 25 players covering 32% of the pool of players in both primary and secondary chosen roles.  In S28 we see a decline down to just 20% for the primary chosen positions but an increase in secondary up to 43%.  Left defense seems to have a small bit more popularity with right defense and central fairly even for both primary and secondary choices.

Wing backs remain hard to find with only 1 player in both S27 and S28 choosing this as a primary role from the top 25 pool.  However it also remains consistent on the secondary options with 5 to 6 players choosing a wing back role.  The left side was chosen more often by S27 and the right side more by the pool of players chosen from S28.

The central defensive mid, right mid, and left mid roles were not selected as primary by any player of the pool from S27 and only 2 players chose central defensive mid out of the 3 in S28.  However these roles are still popular in the secondary positions with 9 choosing 1 of the 3 in S27 and 11 players choosing one in S28.  Right mid has a small edge over left in popularity over the 2 years.

There was only 2 central midfielders on the S27 primary and secondary but that number would grow to 4 players choosing central midfield as their primary role in S28.

The primary role choices remain the same for both S27 and S28 with 40% choosing one of the attacking positions.  The secondary market was hot in S28 with 95% of the chosen roles in secondary being an attack role.  This would drop slightly in S28 to 78%. The left attack was selected most by last years S27 class with central as the most popular secondary choice.  This year central attack is the most popular for primary attack choices.
