It Makes a Difference
#1
It's the offseason, so it's time for another one of my "No one asked for this, Kyle" little articles. What I'm taking a look at today is out of the Majors and Juniors, who had the biggest goal differential last season, Season 27.  Did the majors hold a major lead?

1. Cairo City +29
TIE 2. CA Buenos Aires +21
TIE 2  AS Paris +21
3. Inter London +20
4. CF Catalunya +15
5. Shanghai Dragons +12

I found it quite interesting that 3 of the top 5 spots are held, or are tied by, Minors teams, including the top location being a Minors 2 Team.  Cairo City went 9 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw over that season, scoring the most goals out of any team in either league.

The number 4 spot held by CF Catalunya, were the team that held their opponents with the least amount of goals, only 10 on the entire campaign, which certainly led to their high score.

1. ASC Yumboes de Dakar  -33
2. CD Alfama -31
3. North Shore United -28
4. Liffyside Celtic FC -11
TIE 5. Reykjavik United -9
TIE 5. Montreal United -9

Going the opposite direction, we see that, as we probably expected, some growing pains for our newest teams, ASC Yumboes de Dakar and their minors team, CD Alfama.  Expansion is typically a pretty tough few starting years to get your feet under you, so it's not really that surprising. I'm sure they'll have an even better showing this upcoming season!
