PARIS - It's a typical Saturday morning in Paris - thousands of visitors are visiting the Louvre, admiring thousands of the world's finest pieces of art. Just 15 minutes away at the Church of Scientology's Paris church, Paris Midfielder Tim Etodeliverapizzaball is admiring what he considers to be the greatest piece of art to have ever been created - Battlefield Earth
"It's a seminal piece of film. It takes L. Ron's vision of the future, and then... visualizes it. It's like nothing before it or after it."
The 2000 movie - based on the book by L. Ron Hubbard - has lived in infamy amongst moviegoers for being one of the worst movies of all time, with many pointing to the poor acting and jarring production choices. However, Etodeliverapizzaball sees something different in the film:
"What many unenlightened people see as a poor film is, in reality, an amazing film. What people see as poor acting, I see as passion in a project that was spat on from the word go. Everyone, from the actors to the cameramen to even food services, gave it their all. What people saw as poor production quality, I see as an experiment in art. If that's what gets people to shit on a film, then perhaps they should check themselves. It is the culmination of what the Church of Scientology has preached and spread throughout the world, much like The Passion of Christ is for Christianity. I will not apologize for it, and it should be known how well executed this film is."
However, Etodeliverapizzaball doesn't see it as perfect, but not in a way many would expect it to be:
"The only improvement that could be made to this film, and trust me, I had to think about this for a long time, would be to make it a Tyler Perry movie. He should have played every character. Man, woman, alien: everyone."
