Reykjavik Making Moves
#1
Recently Reykjavik has taken a complete turn and has been all over the transaction end of things in the Simulation Soccer League. From a team that just a few weeks ago looked to be abandoned and left to figure things out for themselves has suddenly found new life and continues to improve greatly.

They have made some smaller trades, shipping players out to bring in some draft picks, which is always nice. However, that is kind of low profile when it comes to the other moves the team has made. Currently the team is being run and controlled by BOD member Mikko Rashford as the team had no manager once the team was left abandoned. He has done a lot of great work to improve the team. Some of the notable moves made:

1. Bringing in top talent GK Scott Sterling from Hollywood. Sterling, at the time of the trade, was easily the highest earning player on the Reykjavik United roster. He comes in with a lot of great Division 1 experience and he knows how to win. This surely solidifies any potential issues in goal.

2. Signing Hol LeDiver. This is a big one, as LeDiver is one of, if not the best Reykjavik defender on the team. He signs long term and locks in for another 3 seasons, which is more solidifying on the back end of things for Reykjavik.

3. Trading for Mikko Rashford. Yes that’s right, top end talent Mikko Rashford has been dealt to Reykjavik. While he will not be available for the season, as he is being loaned to Tokyo, Rashford becomes the highest earner on the team and another player who absolutely knows what it takes to win. This brings a superstar to the midfield, and all of a sudden the team looks much better than it did just a month ago.
