Jailbird - A Vercetti story - S4C9 Words - 262

He was amazed that the team (hell, even the league to be precise) allowed him to be there in the middle of a wrestling ring. Even more so when you consider the fact he was there actually to fight someone to a stop, which could by all accounts leave him injured.

Squall trusted himself to be able to win in a fight if needed and it did happen that the person he was supposed to face had given him enough of a reason to do so. He said bad things about Squall's family which didn't affect him much. He also said bad things about the sport he played, which he also didn't mind. It was when he started to badmouth the Joshi federation he was bankrolling that he got upset.

Sure enough, the big guy arrived slowly over the ramp, posing and jeering all the way. He was somehow taller than Squall and was visibly more physically built. The center-back waited for the introductions to be made before putting himself in the right stance.

It was all done in a matter of seconds. Squall watched the unconscious body of his opponent and raised an eyebrow. He seemed a bit shocked too, would they consider this assault? He looked at the referee and asked if there was anything wrong there. Once he was told that was perfectly fine (for him at least), Squall left the ring, arms behind his head as he thought about what else would he do that night.

For someone who was an aging center-back, it was crazy how quickly his legs still moved.
