I am posting on behalf of new expansion managers Tubby Tim and Omniscius
]In 2022, after being fed up with the anti-Catalan and Spanish nationalist bias of La Liga, Javier Tebas and the Spanish media, @TubbyTim69 and @omniscius decided to found Club de Futbol Catalunya to promote Catalan identity on a global stage. Whilst the Federació Catalana de Futbol (Catalan Football Federation the first football association formed in Spain) serves its role well, CF Catalunya's goals are global. CF Catalunya will be the first Catalan team in the SSL and give Catalan football representation on the world stage.
The home jerseys are inspired by the red and yellow of the Senyera from the Catalan flag.
The away jerseys are inspired by the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT, National Confederation of Labor) which fought against Franco in revolutionary Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War.
Our crest is inspired by the Sant Jordi matant el drac (Saint George slaying the dragon) statue situated in Barcelona, Catalonia at the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya which is the offices of the Presidency of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
I would like to give a special thanks to @Thunder39 for his amazing work on all the graphics and really helping to capture the Catalan identity of our club.
