Alex Calderon is not one for fanfare or excessive celebration. He likes to keep his head down and work hard to achieve his goals. Alex spent a lot of time working on the fundamentals of the game to ensure that he would be able to translate his skills to a larger stage. When the call came that he'd been accepted to an Academy Team, he could not believe it. He had worked a long time to get to this place and was finally going to get his shot to play in front of thousands. It would take a lot of work, but he would show up every day to continue getting better. Every day before and after school was spent on the pitch or in the gym working to get better. Calderon also spent a lot of time reading and watching film to try to better understand the game. He wants to be able to read the opposition and always be in the right place at the right time. All of his hard work has finally paid off. He was ready to start a new adventure. He knew the work is only getting started, but he is excited for what the future holds. He wants to be one of the best players the league has seen, and he will put in the work necessary to get there.
