Mulder Shines in Sidney City Debut
#1
Sydney City's newest signing Zach Mulder wasted no time introducing himself to the club's supporters on SSL Academy Matchday 7. The Dutchman finished his first match for the Club with an assist, an 8.3 rating, and a Man of the Match performance.

Mulder's assist came in the 38th minute, when he made a well timed run behind his defender onto a perfectly placed ball over the top from midfielder Pascal Yamahuchi. Mulder got the ball in space and ran with it towards the right post. When the keeper committed, he rifled a short cross straight to the head of left midfielder Joe Mamba who directed the ball into the back of the net.

"It's an absolute honour," said Mulder in a post game interview. "I feel privileged to have the chance to play for this club and have the support of the fans. To be able to reward them on my debut is incredible."

Mulder then proceeded to back himself, while still seeming to want to settle expectations a little bit.

"I know my abilities and what I can do," he said resolutely with a confident smile. "That being said, I'm here to learn and improve. I'll have bad games just like anyone else but as long as I can continue to get better day in and day out then I'm happy with whatever the results may be."
