Draft day edges closer for Millwall
#1
"It feels like the calm before the storm," Cameron Millwall recently described his situation leading up to the S19 SSL Draft. "I think I've solidified my standing within my draft class enough to know that I'll surely be selected at some point of the draft. Just when and where to is a question that still remains a mystery to me."

Unlike some of his peers, the German midfielder is more of a wild card in terms of his projection. His agency's last (and so far, only) football client never made it out of the minor league in Kaapstad. That puts a certain kind of ceiling on his projected potential, a thing that SSL clubs are surely aware of.

Given the fact that Millwall has amassed quite a few training hours under his belt, it is however unlikely that the defensive midfielder will slip into the later rounds. His willingness to improve has been too obvious this far.

For Millwall himself, it doesn't matter too much in which organization he ends being drafted to: "I just want to work with people that believe in me, that push me to become the best player that I can possibly be. It's not going to be easy, it's going to take a lot of work - but I'm open to any and all challenges."
