On a marquee day for the Simulation Soccer League, the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, Sydney, is bustling with activity just hours ahead of the SSL's biggest draft in the League's history. The venue, chosen to accommodate a larger number of guests than usual, looks as busy as it might for a big concert. Alongside the League's top brass, dozens of nervous prospects, their friends and families, and fans of the League's clubs are exploring the prestigious convention centre and its surrounding areas. Situated just a 10 minute drive from the Sydney Opera House, the centre boasts impressive views of the Australian city's harbour, and SSL Commissioner [@Canadice] could hardly hide the satisfaction on his face when asked about the location. "Yes, we are extremely happy to be holding this years SSL Draft at this beautiful venue in the City the league was founded" the SSL Boss told L'Équipe. "It's a historic day for everyone involved in the League, with our biggest ever Draft taking place.".

Visitors of all kinds are similarly excited, with fans speculating which prospects of this years Draft might end up on their favorite teams. It is an extra special day for the League since its two newest organisations are also in attendance; Club Deportivo Tenochtitlan, led by Andre Caetano [@DivogoJota], and Shanghai Dragons, represented by Thomas Hohenhahn [@norththegreatestshowman]. The latter organisation had some issues with arriving to Australia due to the countries tensions with the People's Republic, but managed to arrive in time in the end. "We're here and we are looking forward to drafting some great emerging talent to help our organisation get off the ground" , the German told Jean-Phillipe.
