Davidović Back in Attack, Helps Istanbul Secure 2-2 Draw
#1
After two rough games in a support role, Stefan Davidović was finally back in attack for FC Istanbul against Adowa Accra. The change was noticeable from the start, Davidović was more involved, more aggressive and overall much sharper.

The match itself was tight from the beginning. Adowa Accra struck first, scoring in just the 6th minute. Istanbul responded in the 36th minute when Voda found the net to make it 1-1. But right before halftime, Accra took the lead again, scoring in the 40th minute to go up 2-1 at the break.

The second half was more balanced, with both teams creating chances but struggling to break through. Then, in the 72nd minute, Davidović made his mark. Instead of going for goal himself, he spotted Jimotheus making a run and delivered a perfect pass, setting up the equalizer. 2-2, and that’s how it ended.

While Davidović didn’t score, his assist was crucial in avoiding another loss. More importantly, he looked much better than in the previous two matches, proving that he belongs in an attacking role. Even so, after the match, he admitted he still has work to do. “I feel better up front, but I know I need to improve my passing and crossing. I’ll get there.”
