Interviewer: Hello! We're in the Falls Arena where the match between Victoria Falls Eagles and Sydney City just concluded. The result ended up being a 1-1 draw. Eagles' midfielder Juozas Kupinas is joining me here. Juozas, your team seemed to strugle early on in the match. Why was that do you think?
Kupinas: Sydney did very well in the opening stage of the match. They put us under a lot of pressure which we struggled with quite a bit and it resulted in a goal for them. We didn't create any chances early in the match for which I don't have an explanation at the moment. It seems like we lacked focus early on and the 0-1 woke us up and we became the better team for the rest of the first half. We were decent in possession and created some nice counter opportunities but they unfortunately didn't result in anything. The precision just wasn't there in the finishing department and I was unlucky that my shot on the post didn't go in.
Interviewer: But early in the second half you managed to score with an incredible strike from the edge of the box! In a similar fashion you scored a goal in your previous match against Sydney City. Do you think this is a coincidence?
Kupinas: I do think so. They just gave me enough space to dribble the ball and get to a spot where I had the chance to shoot and luckily for me the shot went in.
Interviewer: And do you think 1-1 is a fair result for the match?
Kupinas: I think so. They were really strong in the early portion of the match. We were stronger at the end of the first half and the start of the second half. And late in the match I felt like Sydney was stronger again and we had to focus on defending the draw.
Interviewer: In your next match you'll be facing Istanbul F.K. How do you see that match going?
Kupinas: I honestly expect we'll be a heavy underdog for that match, but we're gonna give it everything we got. We might need some luck on our side for that one.
Interviewer: I wish you the best of luck. Thank you for your time.
Kupinas: Thank you.
