Dissa Pointment's start to the SSL with his new team, Rapid, has been disappointing (heh). He's gotten 1 goal in 4 games (I'm counting friendlies) and has seemed to be making a lot of mistakes. I may be a little more critical than most, but that's what it takes to make sure Pointment succeeds. The biggest thing I've noticed from him is his touch, dribbling, and overall ball control. He's inconsistent. I'm not sure what's going to happen when he touches the ball. Is he going to just pass it to the defense? Is he going to touch the ball and kick it 5 feet in front of him to where the defender can easily steal it? Will he do some magic and get it to a teammate? We never know. He's also not taking the smartest shots...I've seen him just touch the ball, turn around, and just try to bang it into the net. He thinks this is FC25 where he'll automatically just get the ball around the defender and into the net. He needs to be more poised and disciplined.
The positives have been there, though. I've seen him try to get into position, make the runs, and get the goals. He'll get there. The energy is there. I need Pointment to get in the lab and start training. I need him to continue to build his craft because once he gets going, he'll be unstoppable. We've seen players take over games against the Rapid, and while some unluckiness may be at play, we are going to make sure it's Pointment who unleashes terror onto the other team.
In conclusion: Pointment has been disappointing, but there is promise.
