Lucky 13 Bites Fry

Match Day 13.  An auspicious number, a magnificent number, it's even Fry's own number.  Reason enough to be suspicious.  Could it also be Friday?  No one knows.  Nevertheless, here we are, Catalunya vs Xelaju Cosmico.  Optimism is Fry today, but is this realistic?  We shall see.  Both teams enter the day with 4 losses in the last 5 matches.

Downing a Slurm Plus, Fry finds the motivation to push forward, but Smith fires the ball home!  A fine finish.

Unfortunately, most of the match was covered by radio, but De Trella found the back of the net to bring it up to 2-0.  Things are looking up for Catalunya at halftime, with Fry once again cracking the 7.0 barrier and making a solid showing in the game.  If his performance stays at this level Varnson will be struggling to find minutes in the current team.

An early second half goal was chalked off due to offside, clear but unlucky.

An incredible mistake by Tathile let another goal in for Catalunya, now standing 3-0 and really feeling like the game ought to be theirs.  Even the 85th minute goal really is not enough, still down 3-1.

And there the matter rested, Fry doing a tolerable job at 6.8, trailing off in the second half.  No assists, no goals, not much of anything.  Still, it's a win and we can take that to the next week!
