There's Cash In The Scrap
#1
Kaspars Kalinins has begun to resort to selling scrap metal to try to fund his Training ventures. He is out every morning, looking for bottles and cans, majority-metal furniture and appliances, pieces of construction scrap, and of course tossed electronics.

It’s a tough world out there to be an up-and-coming soccer star, particularly in a quieter market like Stockholm. Others might be satisfied not getting the premium Training time, but Kaspars, well he needs TPE. He got a bit of a taste of the high life a couple of weeks ago when some of his first sponsor deals trickled through, but there is a whole boatload of hanging funds that has him desperate for some short-term money.

We’ll see whether he can turn this scrapping business into a profitable venture, and whether it keeps future investors from considering him for their charitable giving. Sponsorship and image are huge in the world of sports, and while a rags-to-riches story can be exciting, it has to be the right rags to get to the riches. Is the world really looking for a White Eastern European Scrapping Man to be it’s next hidden gem?

I guess we’ll find out whether the cash or the tetanus gets to him first!
