Every Game Is The Same
#1
Every game is the same to Kaspars Kalinins. There are many players, and fairly so, worried about status, and prestige. They worry about their playing time, their role, and their relevance within the social pyramid. They worry about labels, and respect, and fan appreciation.

Every game is the same.

Kaspars Kalinins, no matter the time, no matter the opponent, no matter the squad, must go out, control the play, and work himself ragged for as long as he is given time to do so. That is his conviction, that is his identity, and that is what he will be remembered for. That is what his team is paying for, and whether that is in the Majors, the Minors, or even here in the Academy, he will show up and deliver, to the best of his ability.

I don’t imagine that he will ever be a player who earns much recognition from the greater soccer world. His best shot at fame is being labelled as a perennial “underrated” talent by major sports outlets. But what he will be, that I am certain, is he will be your favourite player’s favourite player. He will have the respect of his teammates, his coaches, and his opponents, because they know his mantra, and they respect the race he is willing to run every day.

A clear narrative provided and a logical structure. It wasn't developed deeply, but it was succinct and pointed.
