Faith and Impatience
#1
Kaspars Kalinins has begun to get some negative comments on his abilities, now that he’s had enough game time for people to know his name. One should never expect to completely avoid the negativity of the world, but one would hope that this kind of behaviour wouldn’t be extended to rookie Academy players. Thankfully, the specific comments bring forward some valid criticism, even if criticism should generally be left to the training and coaching staff.

Questions have been raised as to whether Kaspars Kalinins has the ability to move at an SSL level. While his speed has increased as his tenure continues in the system, there is still a lot of work for him to compete at the highest level.

He will also need to work on his decision-making and his positioning, something that comes with time, and of course experience. Many poor decisions must be made, and noted, before one is able to integrate their lessons into their game. There are a lot of things that are necessary to be a top soccer player, and simply not enough time to handle everything so early.

There’s still a long road ahead, but the fans are hungry now, which Kaspars has been taking as a sign of their faith, despite their impatience.

There will always be doubters. Silence them!
