Just a couple more days to go until the SSL Draft is Streamed, and I know that I for one and quite excited to see where I end up. The scouting conversations all ended rather suddenly a couple days ago, which makes sense knowing that the draft was going on probably as those conversations were happening, but trying to match up who I was talking to, to where they picked, to how good the conversation felt, to where we must be in the draft has me all confused, and honestly, it’s better that way.
I’d imagine I end up being one of the first couple of Central Midfielders off of the board, and considering how highly ranked each of those other players are, I would imagine that has me going pretty early, and getting to have that kind of faith in my first-gen career is hypothetically a really great honour, and even just the respect and attention I’ve gotten in this scouting cycle is enough that even if I end up being the last pick in the draft, I’ll have been more than adequately welcomed to this community. But even as the draft details emerge from the shadows into the public light, the work really only starts here.
