Now I know normally these articles I do are really stupid and a bit of a laugh but with so much to process from yesterday I feel like I should post something genuine for once
You could of given me a million guesses about yesterdays draft and I don't think I ever would of guessed what transpired yesterday, so many 500+ TPE players in the second round yesterday just shows how insanely talented S23 is and it's been such an absolute joy to be a part of it
When I joined this league a few months ago it was just a bit of a throwaway side hobby but I've been absolutley been blown away by how kind, funny, talented and helpful everyone I have spoken with has been and while I haven't known many of you for that long I genuinely feel that I've made friends for life here (@McLumberjack @Domffl @norththegreatestshowman among many others I think you guys are stuck with me now!) and I'm truly, truly humbled to be a part of this community
Now for my thoughts on the draft from a personal point of view, I originally thought I'd be a mid 2nd round pick going to either Hollywood or Shanghai partly due to being held back by my TPE, I was so certain of this I zoned out a bit during the 1st round and pretty sure I was muted when I got drafted!
To be picked in the 1st round is an incredible vote of confidence and to be Tokyo's 1st pick of the draft is a lot of weight to bear but my determination to prove them right couldn't be stronger and I can't wait to read this back in a few seasons time and know I did what I set out to do
For now we have a week to relax but after that I have two goals I won't stop until I have accomplished
1) Prove to myself and everyone else Tokyo made the right choice picking me
2) Make the other 7 teams that had the opportunity to draft me regret their choice
I'll be back to writing stupid stuff next week don't worry!
