The first game week this season was certainly interesting. We started off having to play against kaapstad, not only our most likely rival for the title, but also home to my personal friend/nemesis @Lpapi
The stakes were incredibly high, with the reduced amount of games this season a win here could have massive repurcussions for the entire season, it could literally meaning winning or losing the title on the first day of the season. It is with pain in my heart that I say that we did not show up like we should have. Perhaps it was nerves, perhaps we were not ready after the long off season but we went down 3-0 in the first half. Eventhough we fought back valiantly in the second half, getting it to 3-2 and having 2 penalties denied by VAR we were unable to bring it back. I am mostly disapointed in myself who had a terrible performance.
Luckily the week was not all bad, we did win the second match of the week and quite convincingly too! Not only that I actually managed to score too, my first of (hopefully) many goals this season. @OTK also managed to score so the dutch dynamic duo is no longer on fraudwatch.... for now.
