Elation!

I would be lying if I said I was not a little nervous for the AS Paris match against AC Romana. Sure this is not my first rodeo with Paris in the cup, heck we have even played a Major team in the cup before (CD Tenochtitlan last season). This time felt different though, where CDT was always a long shot last season, this is a match we actually stand a chance. Even though we are in two different divisions, on paper there is not a massive difference between this Paris team and AC Romana. This is no way meant this was going to be easy but it was my first REAL opportunity to beat a majors team and I intended to make full use of that opportunity.

The first half hour is quiet but then, Eric Belmont, who himself has had an uncharicteristicly quiet season so far, opened the scoring. The stadium explodes as the Parisians take the lead! It is not long before the second goal falls, Belmont again and in minute 41 it is 2-0 for Paris.

It is not all easy sailing as Romana does get one back in extra time of the first half.

The second half is relatively quiet, when Fensterhausen scores the 3-1 in the 86th minute the game seems completely put to bed, however Ryan "Panenka" Van Eyndhoven scores making it 3-2 just minutes later. The minutest tick by and we have done it! AS Paris wins against a Major team and will advance to play CDT once again, can they do the impossible this time?
