Old friends

It is always nice to run into old friends, that double take that happens when you pass each other on the street "are they? They look like... THEY ARE".  Searching for the eyecontact to get the confirmation and then seeing their eyes light up when the realisation hits.
Ive had the pleasure of experiencing this recently, in the SSL no less. One of the new recruits Blaise N'Kufo @McTruffles is a friend from a past life.

All the way back in our high school football days we used to be on competing football teams, we developed quite a rivalry back then. In those days I was still a left attacking midfielder and we often battling for the top goals accolades for our teams.

Everything changed when one day we had another fierce match, a tackle where I went in a little hard made it so we both had to go off the pitch injured. Right there on the bench we started talking and a fierce rivalry turned to a friendship. We lost contact after highschool unfortunately, however that just makes it all the more sweet when I saw him announced for Adowa Accra. The team where my SSL career started too! 

I am certain he will do those hallowed grounds proud and achieve what I was unable to, win the academy season with Adowa Accra!
