Data Analysis of S2 per position Kofi Ansah - Point Task Article
#1
As Sir Francis Bacon said so casually, “scientia potentia est", meaning “knowledge is power”. This might not be the case is everything in our lives, but for sure is plays a huge role for the Soccer Simulation League.
Knowledge is better transformed into a “digestible” form, though the data analysis of the 2nd SSL season.
On the goalkeeping side, on of the most noticeable goalkeeper was for sure Janik Andersen. Although someone might say that his saves per 90 minutes were a lot fewer than most of the leagues’ other goalkeeper, probably due to his highly coordinated Athenian defence line, the Danish youngster was phenomenal on the area of save percentage. Taking a closer look on the number of certain goals that were prevented by his actions, it is fair to say that the audience of Greece and the Danish national team have a front row seat of one of the best goalies of his generation.
Still on that strong Athenai FC side, it is fair to say that Henrik Lind stood out most of the charts. With lots of clearances on his half of the pitch, excellent percentage on the aerial duels and, most importantly, the most reliable positioning to gain possession and keeping it with the highest percentage, the rather bulky Scandinavian is proving that the best defence is actually good defence.
The position that attracted much attention was as every year the midfield. And this is probably the most unexpected choice. Coming to an expansion team that promised him a leading role, Budget Busquets lived up to the expectations. Numerous passes, high accuracy on sharing the game with his teammates and lots of possession time meant that the energetic Catalunian was the start of every CF Catalunya attacking attempt.
Last and definitely not least, the player that took this seasons scoring to a next level, is Ricky Bobby. The fearsome number nine of the current champions from Los Angeles, was not joking around this year. Topping in scoring via shots and headers, highly xG in all games and providing multiple assists to his teammates, the Zambian striker will be very difficult to remove from the top places of the league.

Wow, appreciate the shout-out! I'm very pleased with how well CF Catalunya did in their first season, especially Budget Busquets who was our standout player. I hope I make best XI but some of the more exciting midfielders will probably win it over me.
