Okamoto was one of the first players to join the league in its inaugural season. He joined Tokyo FC in the middle of their first season. While he did not enjoy that much regular season success (which would prove to be an unfortunate trend throughout most of his career), he helped lead Tokyo FC to the first ever SSL Cup, by scoring the winning goal in the final match. This would help to begin Okamoto's reputation as a great clutch Cup player, especially in final matches. This would not be the first time Okamoto tasted victory in the SSL Cup.

Tokyo went through a tumultuous first season losing their first manager in the middle of the season. At the end of the season, it was time for the SSL to expand with new teams, and Tokyo's new manager did not see Okamoto fitting into their plans. He ended up being the first ever player selected to play for Catalunya FC, alongside longtime player and friend Budget Busquets.

Okamoto believed that this was a great blessing to his career and has definitely enjoyed being a big part of Catalunya, at times stepping in to help run the club as well. Over his time in Catalunya, he has so far managed to win two SSL Cups and one Founders Shield.

Unfortunately in the previous season, Okamoto fell out of favour with his football career, and ended up falling from the first division and Catalunya. He was traded to Seoul, and decided to make the most of playing in the second division. He managed to turn his career around, helping take Seoul to a Division 2 Championship, while making the Division 2 Best XI. This managed to land him a move back to the first division with Catalunya, where he hopes he can eventually help lead them to the ultimate prize in his eyes - a Division 1 Championship.

APPROVED

My journey in football has been one of determination, perseverance, and a burning passion for the beautiful game.

My professional career began at Montreal United, where I spent two seasons honing my skills and gaining valuable experience. Although we didn't win any trophies during my time there, I learned the importance of hard work, discipline, and teamwork. It was during this period that I realized my potential as a left wingback, and I dedicated myself to mastering the position.

Seeking new challenges, I joined Adowa Accra FC, an expansion team that joined the SSL during the third expansion. Unfortunately, we were relegated to the second division in my first season with the club. But instead of dwelling on the setback, I took it as an opportunity to lead the team and help them regain their rightful place in the top flight. With hard work and determination, we secured promotion, and it was a defining moment in my career. I was recognized as a key player in the team's success, and my efforts were acknowledged when I was named Left back of the season for D2.

Inspired by this achievement, I sought new horizons and a chance to test my skills on an international stage. That's when I received an offer from Uniao Sao Paulo, a Brazilian club with a rich footballing tradition. Joining them was a dream come true, and I was determined to make the most of this opportunity.

Although I haven't won any trophies yet, my time at Uniao Sao Paulo has been instrumental in my development as a player, especialy after winning a place in the best 11 of the Season 8. The competition is fierce, the level of play is exceptional, and I'm constantly challenged to push my limits. However, my ultimate dream is to win silverware, to hold a trophy high above my head, and to feel the joy and satisfaction that comes with it.

As I approach the pinnacle of my career, there is still much left to achieve. I aspire to be recognized as one of the best left wingbacks in the world, to represent my national team on the international stage, and to compete in prestigious tournaments like the FIFA World Cup. I want to be remembered as a player who left a mark on the game, someone who inspired young talents to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Every training session, every match, and every challenge I face brings me closer to realizing these dreams. I am determined to leave a lasting legacy in the world of football, and I will continue to give my all until the final whistle blows on my career.

(480 Words)

APPROVED

Jannik's first 9 years of his professional career line up with the first 9 years of the SSL which is pretty incredible as the SSL's official history has never been told without the veteran Danish goalkeeper.

Unfortunately it has not all been roses so far in his career as Athenai FC had never won the league or an SSL Cup and have just a Founders Shield to their name. However, while they have struggled to get the hardware, there is no denying that Athenai has been one of the better teams over the course of the league. While some teams rose to prominence and fell or others had to grind their way up, Athenai FC has generally been, at worst, a top mid table team for most of the time the league has started. Despite a down trend lately and a retool with an aging roster, the team still has avoided relegation and not really felt a ton of pressure so far and a lot of that I believe is due to the ability of Jannik Andersen. Even now, with one of the worst Athenai seasons to date, Andersen was top of the league in save % and put up solid numbers and could compete for a team of the year position.

Now, as all great things do, things must come to and end but with an end this go around comes a great beginning. Andersen has played his last match with AFC and will be suiting up for Sao Paulo in Season 10 as a trade acquisition securing a solid pick for his now former team and going along with Owen Forty Four and reuniting with Sydney Ramirez as well. With a team that has been challenging to break into the top of the table, Andersen will have yet another chance to help a team be one of the best in the league and he is motivated more than ever to do so. He is hitting the training grounds hard and staving off age as he looks to be the best he can be for Sao Paulo and hopefully, not only get individual recognition but finally help his team get some hardware by winning the league, cup, or both!

It has not all been rose for Andersen but it has been a fulfilling career so far and it is one that is not even close to being finished. Father time comes for us all but I believe Andersen will definitely keep him away just as he does a football from his goal.

APPROVED

Starting in Athenai F.C. as a rookie, nothing much stood out for the young defensive midfielder, who struggled to adapt playing as a centre back. Things started to turn around for the Catalan when he was given the opportunity to join his hometown’s new club, Club de Futbol Catalunya, in their inaugural season. He was part of the SSL Cup-winning team in S4 and S7, as well as lifting the SSL Shield in S5. His impressive performances for Catalunya has earned him a spot in the SSL Best XI four consecutive times through S2-S5 largely deployed as a single pivot defensive mid. Here, he was able to have defenders behind him giving him the creativity to depict play whilst playing a bit higher defensively. He was able to win a lot of aerial duels in the midfield and better yet, allowed his fellow teammates the confidence to attack up the pitch. This was evident by their 4-1-4-1 formation, where Catalunya would have four attacking midfielders supporting a sole striker while Busquets would clean up in the midfield and provide balls to his creative attacking teammates.

Busquets is considered to be one of the best midfielders in SSL and his career is something that many aspiring footballers look up to. Despite this, Budget Busquets has yet to win the league title with C.F. Catalunya nor has he ever even been considered in the running as MVP. There’s still a chance for Busquets to comes away with a league title after his prime and it is probably the last thing on his bucket list before calling it a quits for his career. One thing that has made Budget Busquets stand out from his peers is his reliance on his intelligence and understanding of the game despite his lack of pace and overall athletic abilities in a league full of athletic freaks. He may not end up in the SSL hall of fame, but when he laces up his boots, his name will not be forgotten in Catalunya. He will always be a Catalunya legend and a local footballing hero.

APPROVED

To this day, he played 131 games for a total of 11790 minutes. He ran a total of 1760 kilometers. That’s a really a long distance. Rumours has it that’s it’s longer than the earth! With a high standart of play and a serious training regiment, he was able to maintain an average rating of 7.65. He was named player of the match a total of 27 time. It’s was for a moment a league record. Ricky was first and formost a goal scorer. He scores 88 goals in his career and he is aiming to score way more in the future. He want to be the best goal scorer ever! . He had a total of 36 assists. Ricky does not like to pass the ball but he is pretty good at it. He have a total of 73.73 XG. Which is elite. He is one of the best. He had 370 shots on target and a total of 726 shots. It’s a very good shot percentage. In his career he took a total of 1 penalty and he missed it. He still struggle to sleep because of this. He hope to take more penalties in the future.

In the second division, Ricky had a lot of success. He only played a total of 7 games and he had 7 goals and 7 assists. He is simply too good for that league and he hopes to never go back down there. It’s like a bad nightmare.

Overall, Ricky is pretty happy about his career. He won a total of 12 awards in his career. A bunch of cup, championships,s, and shields. He hopes to win more with his new team. Looking back at his career, Ricky now that he won't stop now, he wont stop until he is the very best.

APPROVED

From being the highest-scoring player on a very young and struggling Cairo team in his first season in the league, to being most likely the team MVP of the Division 2 champions AC Romana, Anivierre's journey has been inspiring.

Beginning in Cairo in S3, Ani scored a good bit and played almost every game. However, in S4, Ani was essentially benched as his role was taken by a better player and there wasn't room for him. As a result, he asked to be left open in the expansion draft, and he was. He loved Sao Paulo and wanted to go there, as the GM wanted to build the team around him, but FC Kaapstad selected him with the first pick of the expansion draft despite not contacting him at all prior to the pick. He was then traded back to Cairo, and immediately flipped back to Sao Paulo, where he stayed for S5 and S6. Prior to S7, his rights were traded to AC Romana, but he was then loaned out to CF Catalunya, and in S8 he was loaned out to Sao Paulo once again to help them fight off relegation. In S9, he played his first minutes for AC Romana, finishing 2nd in average match rating and being most likely the team's MVP.

Through his career, Pascal has been named to the Best XI of Division 1 on two occasions, in S7 and S8. He almost certainly will be in the D2 Best XI as well for S9. He won the SSL Cup in S7 with CF Catalunya, was a key member of a team being promoted twice (S5 with Sao Paulo and S9 with AC Romana) and won Division 2 in S9 with AC Romana. He was also voted as the runner up MVP in S8 while on Sao Paulo in a season that Pascal considered to be a down year for himself.

Pascal is quite happy with how his career is going so far and is very much looking forward to returning to D1 play. It's always nice to excel against opposition that might be a decent bit under your personal ability, but Ani relishes his chances to show what he's made of in the top flight this season.

(390 words)

APPROVED

With family being the most important thing in the world to him being very far away on another continent, all he could do is to rely on his football family. The president of the club made it very clear that he was a very wanted midfielder there, as well as the coaching staff which included the Real Madrid legend Fernando Gago himself. Playing under Gago's guidance was a whole another story multiplied by few times than what Aimo had been used to back in Finland. He was able to not only break into the first team on his first season there due to his unrelenting work ethic and talent, but to exceed his potential and go well beyond it. If playing football was passionate for Aimo when he was playing in Finland, it became a once in a lifetime worthy love story in Argentina.

Currently Aimo Tälli is still playing for Buenos Aires, being named the captain of the squad in his 5th season playing there, as well as leading the fray to Buenos Aires' first ever club trophy, when they won the Division 2 title. By showing the public the full potential behind the CABA squad they were able to snatch themselves a few key pieces some seasons later, which ended up being very crucial pickups as the Buenos Aires squad made a big deal of themselves by being able to hoist the SSL Cup in Season 9 - now there is only one trophy left to pick up, that being the Division 1 trophy.

359 words

APPROVED

Wesley Stains S4 Player Page
CPT7
Wesley Stains is now entering year 8 of his career and it has been a fun one at that. Drafted at the end of the first round in the S4 Draft by Cairo City FC, Wesley Stains spent his early career in Egypt, honing his skills. Despite being a late first round pick, Stains has rocketed up the draft class rankings and sits as the #1 player in the S4 class in terms of TPE. Heading into this season, Stains is a top 15 player in the SSL, only beaten out by players from Season 1, 2, and 3.

In terms of individual play, Stains has left a lot to be desired. Overall, Stains has not been the best player. To be fair, Wesley Stains has been thrown to the wolves in his career, always playing in the most difficult position, Center Midfielder. He was already at a disadvantage coming into the league as many teams already had high-end talent in the center midfield that Stains would have to go up against from day 1. Players like Mikko Rashford, Helena Soderberg, and Budget Busquets have been miles ahead of Stains for his entire career.

Now, in the later half of Stains’ career, those big time studs from S1 are starting to regress and its time for Wes to really step up and cement himself as one of the elite center mids in the game. After Cairo was relegated, Stains moved on to FC Catalunya in order to stay in Division 1 and test his skills against the best of the best. Last season (his 1st season as an official member of Catalunya) was the best of his career so far in terms of game rating and goal contributions. Stains will look to continue his development into one of the most well-rounded and versatile players in the SSL.

307 Words

APPROVED

Career PT #7 Hugh Mann

Hugh Mann Page

So Far in Hugh Mann’s career he has played for only one franchise the entire time. Seoul Mythic FC. Getting here is something already discussed in the career PT for biography so we are going to skip that part in character. From a user standpoint, It’s not much of a story… I saw that Muford had joined a soccer league that ran in Football manager. After mulling it over for a day and some change (Do I want to do another player sim league? Am I up for the PTs? What if I go inactive, what if it doesn’t interest me? Things of that nature) I decided to go for it and have arguably had the most fun I’ve ever had in a sim league before. I was on the awards committee for a few seasons, then was assistant GM to ColeMrtz and after he left was promoted to main GM in Seoul. I would say that neither Hugh nor I have been able to realize our dreams. We’ve been close a couple of times, getting a D2 Promotion (and immediately getting smacked back down) and making the Semis of the cup this year (and immediately got smacked down…) Goals yet to achieve are A cup win, promotion to (and remaining in OR winning) Division 1. Less concrete goals that are ALWAYS in progress and never finishing are things like, running a chill locker-room discord, making sure that players are taken care of monetarily and loyally (I don’t want to trade someone who doesn’t want to go for example) I know it can and has happened, but I try to make it a policy to not do so unless it cannot be helped. Its these kinds of things that honestly are almost just as challenging as the on field results which are out of our hands for the most part. So I try to run a very calm and relaxed team while still pushing for results that anyone in that locker room can be proud of on a season to season basis.

(342 words)

APPROVED

Being stuck on a yo-yoing team in Inter London as a pledge to loyalty to the only team that submitted a waiver claim for the right midfield prospect, then becoming one of only two players to be given a max contract in SSL history (if data is to be believed) in AC Romana, one of the few seasons in which their division did not change.

However, to say it was an abject failure would also be a mistruth. d'Floor has provided plenty of coverage after converting to right defender, so much so that they have racked up nearly 1000 miles on the odometer purely from match play, as well as winning a player of the match award in 5 different seasons as a defender, along with a Division 2 championship.

The opportunity for glory had presented itself, but perhaps d'Floor's obsession with an individual legacy to have some sort of individual record set with a high-paying contract will mean that they will be under more scrutiny, given that the initial idea of moving out of London was to make an attempt for more success elsewhere.

"It's always a 'what if' question," d'Floor mused in an interview with Gazzetta. "With how close Division 1 was that free agency year, what would have happened had I gone elsewhere? What if I went to Hollywood? Or Buenos Aires? Or if I wasn't in the division at all? I don't know what goes on, and I don't think anyone will."

The butterfly effect of d'Floor's choices may never be known, but as they approach the prime of their career with expectation that this will be the window to be the best right back in the league, the question will remain to be answered in these following two seasons.

<315 words>

APPROVED
