This article is about the upbringing of Josh Harper before he joined the SSL. Josh Harper was born in 2007 in the month of August. His parents were big fans of soccer, with his dad playing, reffing, and coaching the sport before. Josh Harper started playing soccer even before he could walk with the help of his parents, as soon as he was old enough he started playing in a young kid’s recreational league for soccer. He and some of his friends went and joined a local street soccer tournament when they were about 7 or 8 years old. They made it pretty far but in the final match everything changed, one of his teammates got injured from a tackle falling onto the pavement. They weren’t able to make up for his teammates injury and eventually lost the game 3-5, they did at least get second place but that lit a fire under Josh Harper making him work harder. A few years after in high school he made the varsity team in his freshman year, due to all the time he spent working on his skills and technique. In his first season of high school they weren’t able to make it to the top 8 teams in the state. Senior year is where everything changed, everyone on the team put in a ton of more effort and Josh Harper took another leap towards being the best player he can be, they were able to make it to the top 3 eventually winning the state title. He was scouted to go play for colleges but he decided going straight to the SSL would be more of benefit. Thank you for reading my article on my player!
