If my academy manager decided that I'm not fast enough to play my primary role and moved me to a secondary position that I'm less enthusiastic about I would try to work my hardest in practice on increasing my speed to earn back my role as my main position. In the match if I'm playing the secondary position I wouldn't complain about it and try to play my best proving myself and showing the coach that even if I get moved to a different spot, I will try my hardest to win the game for my team. After a few weeks of matches and practices where I am proving myself to the coach, I would go up to the coach and have a conversation about it, not demanding it back, but civil conversation with coach on what he wants me to show and improve on in a match or in practice that would allow me to earn my spot back. If the coach says that I will have to continue in my secondary position for the season I would gladly do that to show how determined I am and keep putting in the hard work to improve myself and to help the team win for the rest of the season.
