Even the Rainy Days
#1
Another week done friends, and this week certainly had some highlights! It was a rainy one, so there was a lot more time spent in the clubhouse than out on the pitch. We got to bond as a team a decent amount more, and got to know a lot more about each other. We all love to try new foods and so someone brought in a bunch of random cheeses, breads, and assorted sandwich toppings and we had a big sandwich night, followed by watching some of our favourite all-time soccer highlights on Youtube. It’s always interesting to find out what inspires everyone, and how it got them to where they are today. We also have a little book club going, just to make sure we keep our brains moving and active, just like our bodies. I tend to read faster than most of the team, but way slower than a couple of them, and they can even have like 4 or 5 books on the go! Me, I’m a non-fiction and a fiction kind of fella. It might not sound like much, but those rainy days really do contribute to our on-field performance a lot, and keep us building one cohesive unit, who is strong from the brain all the way through the body!
