Draft Class Analysis: Class for the Class
#1
With the season now quite past the halfway mark, it is time to talk draft. Not mock predictions here, but something far more important:

Prospect profiles and fun "labels"

I will be assigning a handful of prospects a fantasy, or otherwise, class. This may be based on performance, personality, positional role, vibes, and more.

Barry McGlynn:
First up is the current tpe leader of the class. A stout attacker focusing on CAM with a slice of other roles such as ST, Barry is constantly leading Port Royal to wins where they can this season.
He boasts the team's highest rating, off the back of 3 goals, 1 assist, high passing volume and success, and good tackling for a CAM.
Of all prospects, Barry is likely the most ingrained face of the discord; almost always present. Your conversations are now belong to him.
Class: Sorceror. For someone who is leading their team through success in multiple areas of skill but with a specialty in blasting, along with always having a piece of any and every conversation (such as a party face), this charismatic caster is the perfect fit.

Kairo Vox:
Stockholm's LAM is next up, with as many goals and assists as Barry McGlynn, has a similar profile but plays a larger part for his team on one key area of defense.
Where he commands his own performance is in pressing the opponent. Despite a normal number of tackles, Kairo has a whopping 16 interceptions (equal to Barry, but stands high on Stockholm's list). On the flip side, he also has fouled 10 times.
This prospect is also somehow the Academy Manager of Stockholm. Possible nepotism? Or maybe just that great of a leader?
Class: Fighter. A leader built around offense and defense, without issues about doing the dirty work and taking heat.

Reese Munro:
The first true midfielder to be discussed is the second member of Port Royal. As a bonus skillset, they take CAM and CDM.
Despite 2 goals and 2 assists, Reese has a massive passing volume share for the team, with 89% of 455 passes completed.
Like his player's performance, Reese is a big Port Royal supporter in discord during the matches, making up a huge percentage of their activity.
Class: Bard. A team's accompanist. Reese and this class both focus on strong support, with the occasional trick up their sleeve when needed.\

STAR SCREAM:
Another Port Royal member? Yup, they aren't sharing many high tpe earners. This is also a CM, but with Wing play as a side gig.
SCREAM has been very clinical: 2 goals on limited shots, high volume passing with 87% success rate, and high header and tackle win% for the team on limited chances for those.
As a discord user, SCREAM has been present, but not much of a man of words. Most posts are meaningful .gifs, but you know they are there to send more if the time is right.
Class: Ranger. Often independent, they do their job for the team. Knowledge, survival skills, distant support, surprise ambushes, they got it all. Each time they join a group, their impact is felt.

S Sei:
Me. I am a CDM now, after being CM primary (CAM as my other secondary position). I did switch around a lot in formations, and that was a goal of mine; flexibility in midfield. I have made the change to be my best self for the future.
It has been a rough season for Sydney, but I contribute however I can. 3 goals and 1 assist are backed up by large passing volume at 87% of 455 passes, along with decent tackling and other defense metrics for midfield.
As a discord user, my activity is always there, but maybe not so much talkative from time to time; I like to lurk and wander channels, leaving words where I have them. You can count on me never leaving a place I like, though.
Class: Wizard. I rely on experience, information, and flexibility. I can have an answer to many problems, assuming the "spells" have been prepared. I am also skilled in many different techniques.

Nick Kasak:
The first Adowa Accra member on this list. Nick is their LAM, with a touch of ST and RAM. He is also their highest rated pure attacker, but not their leading goal scorer.
3 goals and 4 assists is great success all around. Additionally, Nick has good passing, tackling, and few mistakes.
No issues from discord, as Nick is a frequent flier during particular times of day/week. Reliable and efficient, like his stats.
Class: Paladin. More of a damage type (Smite builds also fit with periodic burst of damage  to match his talking), this paladin is still capable of support and defense actions too.

Dennis van Huntelrooy:
Stockholm's highest rated non-legend player is Dennis. As a ST, he is achieving the goal scoring that has led the team to the 2nd place in standings.
9 of their 21 goals come from Dennis. He also has 1 assist, good heading, and a lot of fouls and offsides. The ball going to him is a threat, no matter what.
One of the most active users on discord in the class, and comes in bursts from day to day.
Class: Rogue. Bursts and high offense, met with no issues playing dirty. That describes the class to a "T".

Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited:
First Instanbul and first defensive player on the list, LWB with a side of LM and LD. You will see Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited's name a lot, and because of good things.
This complete WB's 3 assists are matched with 2 goals on 3 shots (all on target), which are clinical numbers. His defensive stats are also great, namely the tackling, interceptions, clearances, and blocks all being high.
As a user, Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited is very actual from time to time, much like Sei (me). He also shares a lot of experience from other places, so is quite helpful.
Class: Druid. Capable of powerful spells for control or defense, and multiple options for healing and damage. Knowledge of places of wilderness is also a key factor in the skillset.

Joe Mormor:
Another excellent LAM, this time from Victoria Falls. Popular position in this class, especially for high tpe earners. He is also one of the highest rated players in the class at the moment (which helps push VFE to the top of the standings right now).
Outstanding attacking has led Joe to 8 goals and 5 assists. Also, Joe has provided good passing and very successful tackling. He controls his portion of the field.
Joe is another very active discord user, moreso recently than earlier in the season it seems. Tends to be very polite.
Class: Cleric. Less of a healing type build, this cleric focuses on being a front-line damage dealer with spells for buffing. Always caring, stronger than they look, and good at everything.

Dante von Wolfe:
Supposedly the best striker in the world. Istanbul has their hands full with my rival.
3 goals, while not their leading goalscorer, and 2 assists. Hmmm.
Wolfe is very hyper in discord, and is always there, like me. Maybe not always talking, like me too.
Class: Civilian Commoner NPC.

Alex Peña:
Finally, another defensive player, a RWB this time, along with RD and LWB. Also, Alex is another highly rated VFE player.
He has a large 7 assists, along with 1 goal. Paired with these are good passing, heading, and an amazing 23 interceptions. Maybe a key to VFE's success?
Not everyone needs to be super discord active. While Alex is only around and slightly chatty about once a week, he has kept up with the tpe earning.
Class: Monk. Not your usual buffer type class, the Monk achieves support in this form by grappling or stunning the enemies. Capable of offense, too, but Alex is much more of a Way of Mercy or Shadow type.

Christopher Bergmann:
Another defender, hailing from RWB (and also RM and RD). Compared to the rest of this list, Bergmann has a more average rating; perhaps due to their slow start to the season?
Passing and tackling have gone well for them, but there are two things that have had struggle. Crossing is not a low attribute but has been very low success rate, and fouls are at 13 for Bergmann.
This user has not talked much in discord, but hopefully that changes with a good locker room environment. Activity is one of the strongest characteristics a member of the league can have.
Class: Artificer. A maker of devices or magical items that can assist the party, especially defensively. More of a doer than a talker, and not afraid of explosions (fouls), Bergmann is the best fit here.

Owen Goal:
Another Port Royal member, this time it is their ST (packaging LAM and RAM). Owen Goal, despite the name has done well in his 5 games played, putting up the second best rating on the team.
He has 2 goals, 2 assists, and decent passing on low volume. However, he has quite a lot of fouls and offsides for his less than full season. I didn't see any, but I don't think he had an own goal.
This user is not in discord. Who could they be? Do I know? (maybe) Will I tell if I did? (maybe) Am I dodging my OWN questions? (maybe)
Class: Barbarian. An outlander of sorts, who is a solid attacker and very willing to do the job brutally or recklessly. Some are defensive, but not this one; he will still give and take beatings, though.

You are probably wondering a few things. Where is the warlock? What about pathfinder classes, or their versions of the classes you used? Why aren't I on the list?
lets do this in a random order:
Pathfinder classes aren't the focus here because I am less familiar with the system; being only some 1e info I really know and haven't played. I did once upon a time build out fully a Gunslinger, Investigator, and words of power Sorceror, but the groups I was invited to join never actually got together.
You aren't on the list because you either aren't in the academy, or you weren't part of the top tpe group sampled for this media.
Warlock didn't make the cut based on prospects profiled, but I will say that my character Sei is inspired from a D&D NPC of mine by the same name, who is a warlock. So, you could say Sei is both a wizard and a warlock.
