2026-05-16, 05:10 AM - Word count:
I've decided to keep the 'midfielder' and passing impact/models separate from this and change it up per week so I have something different to write about.
I am using the week numbers of the year, so the week 18 graph is from 2 weeks ago. I didn't think it would be very interesting to see (lack of) changes every week so this is more of a bi-weekly comparison.
Defensive Impact
Defensive impact already had a pretty clear top group in week 18 with Don Banjo and Geronimo Datbasted fighting over the top spots while Peter Castellani and Martin Krpan stayed closely behind. It seemed like a fairly stable top group with only small shifts rather than big jumps.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: HZzIxl.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/HZzIxl.jpg)
Week 20 brought more changes than expected. Martin Krpan jumps all the way into 1st with 5.39 which is a pretty big improvement. While Ewan Purves suddenly appears in 2nd with 4.45, pushing some of the previous top names down. Don Banjo and Geronimo Datbasted are still right there in 3rd and 4th, so they havent exactly dropped off, someone else just had a better couple of games.
Scorp E. Unshark and Peter Castellani remain steady in the mid range which honestly just confirms they are consistently annoying to play against every week. The lower half sees new names like Christopher Bergmann and Roberto Chávez, while Jimothy Erickson closes it out, meaning the overall list is still shifting a bit, even if the top defenders mostly stay in the same conversation.

Goalkeeper impact
Goalkeeper impact in week 18 was very much the Tony Roberts show, sitting comfortably at the top while the rest of the field tried to keep up. Behind him the numbers dropped off quickly, and once you hit the lower half it turned into a participation trophy list rather than actual competition for Tony.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: padLfj.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/padLfj.jpg)
Week 20 looks completely different, mostly because Tony Roberts is no longer around to farm saves and make us all look bad (Tony retired allegedly and is not dead). Moew enBach decided to step up in a big way to take 1st with 5.71, which is not just a small improvement, that’s a full takeover of the number 1 spot. Albert Flowers also benefits from the shift moving into 2nd with a solid positive score, while Eric Duic still sits in the negative but has improved compared to earlier weeks.
Umaq Yupanqui, Eric Duic and Ian Degon remain in the negative zone, and at this point it’s starting to look like they might not be cut out to be a goalkeeper, or are they getting no help from their defenders? With Moew enBach we have a clear new "Final boss" of goalkeepers, everything below is just a group where one good week can flip everything.

Mistakes leading to goals
Mistakes leading to goals in week 18 was already a bit of a chaotic list, with Jay Pea sitting comfortably at the top and a group of players right behind him on 1. It was less about one player having a disaster and more like the league collectively taking turns having “that moment”.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: IqG8SC.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/IqG8SC.jpg)
Some players have had some unfortunate games and have now added their names to this beautiful list, which is either impressive or slightly worrying depending on how you look at it. Jay Pea is still leading with 2, showing that he is not willing to budge from the number 1 position. Behind him it’s once again a crowded group on 1, now including Albert Flowers, Eric Duic, Joe Mormor, Che Youz, Josh Harper, S Sei, Mullet Man and Kairo Vox, which is basically half the league at this point.
Bruce McAllister gets a honorable mention at 0, which in this statistic is basically elite behaviour. Overall though, this still feels more like a rotating cast of unfortunate events rather than a clear pattern. Except from Jay Pea. At some point these attackers need to be banned from getting close to their own 16 yard box.
Week 20 graph

Chances created
Chances created in week 18 already had a clear leader with Alex Peña sitting on top and a small gap to the rest, while Walter Blanco and Sadie Black followed as the main chasing group. Behind them it was pretty tight, a lot of players sitting on similar numbers just waiting for one good match to jump up.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: krDM6u.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/krDM6u.jpg)
Week 20 keeps that same structure almost perfectly. Alex Peña moves up to 17 and keeps his spot at 1st, still acting like the main supplier of chances in the league, while Walter Blanco at 14 and Sadie Black at 12 stay right behind him with no real change in order. The interesting part is just below where Nick Kasak, Jack Pow, Christopher Bergmann and Roberto Chávez all land on 9 and creating a pretty big group in the middle.
Joe Mormor, Owen Bryant and Ozzy Boudreaux round it out on 8, which again shows how small the gaps are once you move past the top 3. Overall not a huge shakeup here, just a bit more seperation at the top.

Predicted assists
Predicted assists in week 18 had Alex Peña leading the way, followed by Arsene Cardinet and Nick Kasak close behind and a fairly tight group forming just under them. It felt like a shared creative core, even if Peña was already starting to create a bigger gap.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: iGMAQJ.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/iGMAQJ.jpg)
Week 20 turns that into a much clearer gap. Alex Peña jumps to 14 and just runs off with it, while Saba Kvekvetsia and Nigel Mendoza suddenly appear in 2nd and 3rd on 7, which is a pretty big shift compared to before. Arsene Cardinet, Nick Kasak, Joe Mormor and Roberto Chávez all sit on 6 creating a large middle group that feels very interchangeable at this point.
Owen Bryant, Owen Goal and Jayson Bryzski close it out on 5, keeping things tight in the lower half as well. Overall this one changed more than expected especially behind Peña, where it now feels less stable and more like a rotating list depending on the week.
Week 20 graph
![[Image: KD3sw8.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/KD3sw8.jpg)
Striker impact
Striker impact in week 18 already had Nacho Kusora leading the way, with Nick Kasak and Dennis van Huntelrooy following behind, forming a pretty clear top three. After that the numbers dropped off fast, and it became more about who could stay positive rather than who was actually pushing the top.
![[Image: V3GIm1.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/V3GIm1.jpg)
Week 20 keeps that same structure, but the gaps are starting to stretch a bit. Nacho Kusora stays firmly in 1st with 12.98. Kusora's seemingly dominant performance is in large part thanks to Peña dominating every playmaker chart. Nick Kasak holds onto 2nd with 7.16, while Dennis van Huntelrooy remains 3rd but drops to 2.63, which makes that gap to the top two a lot more noticeable now.
Jack Pow and Barry McGlynn sit just above zero, which in this statistic already counts as a decent contribution, while everyone below that slips into negative territory. Jake Ronaldo improves slightly but is still below zero, and the rest including Dante Von Wolfe, Blaise N’Kufo, Chris Walker VI and Kairo Vox, are all struggling to turn involvement into actual impact right now.
Week 20 graph
![[Image: qtguLp.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/qtguLp.jpg)
xG Overperformance
xG overperformance in week 18 had Nacho Kusora pushing to the top, with Dennis van Huntelrooy and Ewan Purves not far behind, forming a small group of players consistently finishing above expectation. It was already a sign that a few players were starting to separate themselves in terms of pure efficiency.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: 7GcgZj.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/7GcgZj.jpg)
Week 20 takes that and turns it up a bit. Nacho Kusora jumps to 6.56 and is now clearly leading by a big margin, while Joe Mormor moves into 2nd with 4.2, which is a pretty big step up compared to before. Jake Ronaldo also climbs into 3rd with 2.85, while Dennis van Huntelrooy and Ewan Purves sit level on 2.29, still performing well but not quite keeping up with the top two.
Saba Kvekvetsia, Che Youz and Don BebeZ all sit just under 2, forming a tight middle group where small differences decide positions. John McDougal and Bruce McAllister round out the list. Both still positive, which means everyone here is technically outperforming their chances. Just some a lot more than others.
Week 20 graph
![[Image: J1uOMh.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/J1uOMh.jpg)
Predicted goals
Predicted goals in week 18 already had Nacho Kusora leading the way, with Dennis van Huntelrooy and Joe Mormor following as the main chasers. The rest of the list was fairly grouped together, with small gaps separating a large mid table of attacking projections.
Week 18 graph
![[Image: g98mMZ.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/g98mMZ.jpg)
Week 20 makes the top end a bit clearer. Nacho Kusora moves up to 20 and keeps a comfortable lead at the top, while Dennis van Huntelrooy sits 2nd on 16, still in reach for the topscorer conversation (according to the prediction model no bias from myself!!) but now a bit further behind than before. Joe Mormor holds 3rd on 11 but now shares that exact level of expectation with Saba Kvekvetsia, which tightens the race just behind the top two.
Bruce McAllister sits on 8, with Jake Ronaldo, Don BebeZ and Che Youz all grouped on 7 forming a fairly even mid table of projected output. Arsene Cardinet and Ozzy Boudreaux close it out on 6, still contributing but not really pushing into the higher bracket anymore.
Week 20 graph
![[Image: dYvowc.jpg]](https://snipboard.io/dYvowc.jpg)
A lot of these numbers are based on having atleast 8 appearances as a player to keep it more 'fair' and to prevent new players dominating the charts by having fewer numbers. The prediction models and 'regular' top 10 have no minium appearances and we can see some Jakarta players sneaking in which is cool to see since they've been very successful after getting a 'real' team.
I am using the week numbers of the year, so the week 18 graph is from 2 weeks ago. I didn't think it would be very interesting to see (lack of) changes every week so this is more of a bi-weekly comparison.
