As we come to the end of the academy season I feel it's only right to look back into the season as a whole. I won't be going as in-depth and looking through stats… because I honestly don't have the time for that ?. This will be from my perspective as a new player with this being my first ever simulation league.
I can't lie, the beginning started a bit shaky and I was quite apprehensive heading in after some rough games. Losing to Stockholm and then Jakarta back-to-back certainly put a dampener on how it was initially looking.
However, we certainly cracked on from there and I really seen Bruce coming to life. I set out with a vision of how I wanted him to be and as @Jeanious said in his article “permanently standing in the right place at the right time.” is quite honestly the perfect summary that I've been going for and I'm glad it's translating well enough that others have seen.
As we come to the end I can honestly say that it's been great so far and seeing Bruce develop throughout the season as well as making the kind of impact that's even getting him mentioned in passing articles by other players has been awesome and gives a weird sense of pride in a fictional character!
Long may it continue and I can't wait to see how it goes and where I'm drafted, best of luck to all my fellow draftees and I await us meeting on the pitch on the oth
er side!
