WE'RE LONDON TILL WE DIE
WE'RE LONDON TILL WE DIE
SHOUT OUT LOUD YOU INTER BOYS
WE'RE LONDON TILL WE DIE
Words can not express the joy I feel as a manager right now. Inter London started the season off as the 3rd worst team on paper. We invested heavily before the big draft, betting on the S25 talent rather than waiting for S26. We brought in 5 new players into the starting 11 and they have all proven themselves incredible. The team has been insane, London scored 40 goals while only letting in 16. These numbers get crazier because London also had 9 clean sheets, meaning that those 16 goals came in 6 games (Guess when it rains it pours XD). I am so proud of everyone, they all stayed active all season and showed up for all games. We have a golden generation. However, I wouldn't be a good manager if I gave all the credit to the new kids, because the London veterans showed up too. If you'd give me the time of day, I'd like to go over the incredible performances of all of our London players.@Thalak/ Arthur Cain: The S20 forward had his best season so far (get used to this phrase, you'll hear it a lot), 7 goals and 4 assists. An average rating of 7.1, shot accuracy of 50%, pass accuracy of 91%. Cain knew that he didn't have to be the sole goal scorer this season so his ability to make plays evolved by leaps and bounds. Keep kicking ass in Division 1!
@Jelley/ Miester Blobbé: While our rookie from last season is sadly leaving, he gave us an incredible parting gift. 8 goals and 5 assists, average rating of 7.1, shot accuracy of 66%, pass accuracy of 82%. Kept up with his striker duo senior and even surpassed him in some categories. A shame you won't stay with us for longer.
@Ryan_Oneill/ Ryan O'Neill: Another of the London veterans, Ryan has been clutch this season. 3 Player of the Match awards, tied in London with one more upcoming player. 7 goals, 4 assists, 51% shot accuracy and 81% pass accuracy but nearly 60% of air duels won.
@Chris-McZehrl/ Chris McZehrl: WOW. What a debut season! Absolutely a contender for Minors TOTS and Rookie of the Season. 9 goals and 7 assists, the most G/A in Division 2, only top players of Minors Division 1 had batter stats this season. 7.6 average rating, the best in the Division, once again only beaten out by Division 1 players. All in all, a fantastic season, I really can't give more praise.
@jason97/ João Mendes: "Only" 2 goals and 4 assists for the midfielder but his main contribution was in ball winning and progression. His partner in the double pivot was Francis, the more creative of the duo, and yet both still had similar G/A contribution. An average rating of 7.2 clearly shows that Mendes was doing his job perfectly as the glue holding the London midfield together.
@Maxboi/ Pope Francis: His Holiness made the move down from Romana into this London line up and it has proven to be the best option for everyone. 4 assists and 1 goal is humble but boy did that goal matter. The only goal of MD15 and the title duel against Cairo. An average rating of 7.1 shows that God really loves the English. Francis will absolutely be necessary next season in London as the team faces the best of the Minor League.
@McGriddy10/ Angry Lizard: The Paris legend find more strength in his old legs. The team needed not only skill and experience, but winning mentality. Lizard brought all of that last season and proved it again this season, getting his first and hopefully not last title with London. An average rating of 7.5 made him the second best player on the team this season, 2 goals and 3 assists may seem poor in comparison to his numbers at Paris, but his role there was as a Wing Back, while in London he's been a traditional Full Back. His defensive contributions have massively helped the team and I want to see him stay in the game as long as possible. Also, his presence will definitely make the "100 Years Derby" more spicy next season.
@Chadwick/ Van Jertonghen: Van came fresh from the Academy to be a starting CD in London's incredible defense this season. One of the absolute worst positions to play when you're low on TPE and experience. Yet, he has proven himself integral to London's incredible defense this season. Don't let the 6.9 rating fool you, even though it is completely acceptable for a new player, Van hasn't made a single mistake this season. He hasn't' gotten a red card, given away a penalty or made any bad back pass.
@Hepha/ Aidan Hutchinson Jr.: Another former Paris player that actually started with us, crossed the channel and then joined back last season. He's been integral to our defense just like Lizard. Only one goal to his name but he's been great in the air. An average rating of 7.1 means that he's been a bit better than his CD partner and he's been a great mentor, helping Van get up to speed. He's old and his ability will be deteriorating but he still has at least one season left for Division 1.
@TheAmericanPineapple/ Sharko Demarco: The most dangerous aquatic player on the pitch. Sharko has often been lead to handle all of the right side of the field on his own this season but you could argue he's been just as good as Lizard on the left. 3 goals and 3 assists working alone as a traditional right Full Back. Locking up wingers in defense. Shooting, passing, crossing even air duels, there's nothing he couldn't do when called up. This was all while playing his secondary position, he is a CD first and RD second.
@Moka26/ Joseph Daniel Kakou: What can I say about our new keeper? 7 clean sheets in 9 games. Only 2 goals conceded. Average rating 7.1. This season he had to split time with Tumelo but he put in performances that made everyone in the team more than comfortable for next season. The final of our rookies to join the team but definitely not the least. He's in contention for the Minor TOTS and Rookie award. Many would argue that things went in Kakou's favor because he played mostly Home games while Tumelo played Away games. In addition, Kakou barely faced any shots in comparison to Tumelo. This is all true. It's also true that opponents got sacred off the Kakou's aura.
@AW13/ Tumelo Letsie: Our last player for the main team but definitely not the least. Firstly, I want to say that Tumelo was not worse than Kakou this season. He played the Away games, faced tougher matches and much more shots. Even with that, he had more wins than losses and got 2 clean sheets. I think that it is a statement to his ability that he had everything going against him and still walked out with a positive rating and a champion medal around his neck. He left the London team in safe hands and will be picking up the gloves of Kronus for Romana next season.
Honorable mention to players @Rager/ Allen Gray and @ChefTommaso/ Tommaso Cappellari. They didn't get any playing time but were ready all season in case of injury. Gray will be leaving us alongside Blobbe next season while Tommaso will be staying for a bit longer as an emergency substitution for our attackers.
Our long analysis comes to an end. The team has been fantastic, I can't say it enough. They have brought London their first title in 2 years. Not 2 seasons, 2 whole years. It's been a dream to manage them and I hope we can do our best to survive next season.
