Its a funny thing, halfway through the season I was all doom and gloom. Paris was just barely on top, being challenged heavily by North Shore, it was not looking a sure thing at all.
Uniao Sao Paulo was in their worst form I have ever seen, losing left and right. We were actually at the point where it looked like a relegation battle was likely.
However... THANKFULLY, it turned around. On both fronts actually, Paris started being more consistent in the back half of the season, ending up comfortably winning the league.
Too many points were squandered by USP to have a chance of winning the title, but they finished a respectable 2nd place. On top of that they did manage to beat liffey in a hard fought cup final, crowning them the champions.
So a season that seemed to be going down the dumps, ended up with an organisational double. Certainly nothing to scoff at, however one thing still eludes us. The organisational treble and I think next season will be the last real chance to do it with the current core we have. It is an unlikely feat ofcourse but it would certainly be the crown on this golden generation of USP/ASP
